Bought the Trumpeter ASU-85 a week ago for a very decent 26 euros at my LHS. I thought it would be good to start a thread to see what can be imporved about this baby. We already know that the tracks lack lightening holes and that swapping them out with existing AM tracks for the PT series won`t be 100% accurate. But what about the rest? Feel free to post any comments, inaccuracies, quirks and tweaks.
Thanks in advance
Ben

More quirks than anything else, as I have just finished this as part of the Eastern Express Campaign:
The tracks - gave me a major headache. Sound's like you're going to use aftermarket replacements.
The mount for the main searchlight above the gun - Trumpeter supplies a photo etch piece which is more "scale" than if they used plastic. Not sure how well it will hold together over time (too much flexing and the photo etch will break - that happened when I was putting the muffler together). It's also difficult to attach - I used 5 minute epoxy and it's holding (so far).
The rear mounting hooks for the two cables - really thin and frail, and not sure if they will hold up under tension when the tow cables are installed. Had I more time, I would have replaced them with wire - as it is, I left the two cables off.

Hi all
I bought it on July. It would be nice indeed to have some feedback about the kit
Well, in my humble opinion in general that's the drawback to having tiny thickness.
Track links issue seems to be more worrying
To be honest I wouldn't buy Friultracks although I know that Pt-76 tracks would be more correct

Thanks guys
The tracks are a matter of time. Someone will eventually come up with an accurate pair. The thickness of some parts are things I noticed too. Nothing that cannot be remedied with scratchbuilding. I also get the impression that the mounts for the external fuel tanks are a little too thick. Anyone get an eyeball on that?

I thought they might be, but opted to use them anyways. IMHO, once you get the fuel tanks on them they are not that noticable.
