I have discovered this fantastic computer on line game called World of Tanks. I could go on and on about it, but that would not do in this forum. So as I move up the tiers I will get stronger and different tanks. I want to have a model of each stage i go up. I need a t-18 soviet tank...rare kit I know. I have a PZ35 (t) and a PZ38 (t). Next for me is a PZ 4...no prob there. after that I need a VK3601...rated a medium tank...sort of looka like a muscular pz4. so= WHAT WHERE IF. After that simple Tiger 1 then tiger 2 then an E-75. Is there a kit of that? I might go through the Russian tree and the American tree later (boy a lot of weird tanks there)

Oh if anyone is interwested in getting into the game...it is free and a multiplayer game with incredible grafics. if so google it at World of tanks or send me a PM.

Thanks for the info Frenchy. Is the vk3601 a resin kit or injected. I am currently at the mid level of a PZ IV and it will be a few weeks before i accumulate enough points to move up to the vk. SO i have time to search for one.

WARNING!

I would be very wary of that game. IT was suggested on another forum and I thought it sounded interesting, so I downloaded it to try it out.

I have this software monitor on my computer that shows databit rates when downloading and uploading. After I downloaded the game and established my login, I did nothing. I watched the monitor and to my amazement, the upload indicator maxed out and my hard drive light went nuts. Now why would this game need to be accessing my hard drive and uploading data when I was doing nothing with it?

I subsequently uninstalled it.

So, play at your own risk.

New Connection's VK3601 was a full resin kit. They also made a Bergeschlepper variant. I believe they've gone out of business but you can still find some of their kits...
Historex Agents apparently have the Bergeschlepper in stock :

i have been playing world of tanks since somewhere halfway into the beta and am trying to do the samething, atleast for the russian tankdestroyer tree,
atm i got kits for the su-76 (miniart), su-85 (tamiya), su-122 (tamiya), su-100(revell), su-152 (ark model), isu 122 (zvezda), isu-122s (cyberhobby) and isu-152 (cyberhobby), still looking for an 1/35 at-1 and the object 704.

i would also like to do the same for the russian arty tree, but there is almost nothing to find about most of the vehicles in there.

Interesting idea Steve,

Don't worry about time to build them when you get to the higher levels, I takes ages to get the xp for the next level.

As for the game, I had been playing it for the last few months but I have stopped now. I just couldn't deal with the pro Russian element of the game any more, oh and all the bugs!

I have the 6.6 version and the only problem i have had ia getting bumped from the server a few times. The pro-russian is due to the fac it was desgned and implemented there a year before it came to the US. Originally it was just Soviet vs Reich...so of coursethe tilt toward better Soviet tanks.

Wow Serlone if you are up past the su152 level...I don't want to see you on the other side. I guess the German tree is easier to find kits for due to Trumpeters fascination with the subject. The German TD tree has Marder, Hetzer, Stug...up to Jagdtiger. All kits are available. I was looking for some of the Russian tanks and can find most in 72nd...like a BT2 and a BT7 no A-20. The AMerican tree is just weird. 90% are conceptional or test tanks.

Oh, thanks for the link Frenchy. I saw the berg version. Way to rich for my blood assuming the regular version runs the same. I might try to do a semi kit bash with it. Looks like a Porsche tiger 1 hull and sort of a PZ 4 turret. It might be close enough to suit my purpose. I just kind of plan putting them on my computer and paint kill marks on them

I played world of tanks for a few days and never really got into it. That suprised me actually. Its only multiplayer no single player campaigns.

They give you basic tanks free but you have to pay for everything else with cash. The game is free through and the graphics good.

Not for me.

no you don't pay for everything with cash....you earn 2 types of points experience points which you use to research stuff (necessay before you can purcahse) and regular points that I call silver coins. These are the currency you use. Now there is an option to buy gold coins and use them to purchase stuff...but most just play and earn to move up the ladder
