Hello all,
I have 2 hornet head sets and am wondering which one (or both) is correct for the 1956 Hungarian Uprising, I can't find any clarification online as to when the 'postwar' variety actually came into use.
So I have:
HRH04, Soviet style post war tank crew helmets:
http://www.greenwichgateway.com/hornetandwolf/Hornet/headsets/pages/HRH04.htm
and:
HRH05, Soviet WW2 soft tanker helmets:
http://www.greenwichgateway.com/hornetandwolf/Hornet/headsets/pages/HRH05.htm
I appreciate any guidance as to which is more historically accurate.
Thanks very much!
James

Hi Mauro,
Thanks very much, that's a very useful site.
It looks like the hornet heads with postwar helmets are slightly too late but I can probably fix that by replacing the two central padded strips on the helmet with a single one which would be fairly close.
The ww2 one's are far too early really.
Thanks again!
