Hey all. Since Trumpeter went to all the trouble to put the engine in their new BTR 40 kit, I think I would like to detail it appropriately. Does anyone out there have any pics of this beast? I need sparkplug wire placement and firewall pics , not to mention colors ( the instructions say NOTHING on this topic. ARGH!). I have ahd a devil of a time finding this vehicle online( i.e. Pics of the real thing.). Any help from our Eastern Brothers would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few walkarounds :

I guess the engine should look like this :

Hello,
BTR-40 had an engine GAZ-40P (Russian - двигатель ГАЗ-40П). It did not have visible spark plugs or their wiring/ The spark plugs were hidden inder a protective cover (arrow #1), and the wires were also combined together in protective tube (arrow #2).
Hope that will help a little!
