Hi Brad

I just did a quick look through my reference books and found a color plate in the Osprey Vanguard 17 that shows the markings in the photo you posted..

says its an M3 of 5th Canadian Armd. Regt, 5th Canadian Armd. Div.

hope this helps..

Delbert

Brad

8th Princess Louise( New Brunswick) Hussars, C- Squadron Aldershot, England 1942. They had the 62 unit sign, white numbers on green backgound, then they changed to 52 white on red after 1943.

Brad,

Note, as Delbert says, this is an M3 not an M3A1. Don't buy the wrong kit!

Also note that the only available early M3 kit in 1/35, by Academy, needs a LOT of work to get right.

I thought that if the MG's were not mounted in the sponson that it was an M3A1?? I do have the Academy kit which includes the extra sponson mounted MG's. This is a fun relaxed build and I am not worried about accuracy for this project.

Thanks

Funny thing happened to me at my hobby bench. I went through all my reference books and discovered I own the book Modelling the M3/M5 Stuart Light Tank by Steven Zaloga. Duh!!!

Cheers
