Hi guys,
I need some help choosing some extras for a Tamyia T-55:
I want to build a russian version.
- Which one of these weapons is the most accurate ?
- Did any of you guys build / used this set ?
How was it ?
- Last question, I want to add a rangefinder similar to this one, on the T-55 update but I'm not sure if it was used on a russian version or if it might be available on a single set from any manufacturer...
Thanks for your help !!!

Hello
The Tamiya kit AAmg is a very good example, unless you want to depict the missing weapon from the cradle.
The Miniarm T-55M conversion is the Soviet type, not sure if the Sight is available seperately.

thanks guys,
So the NVST gun is not accurate for the T-55 ?
By the way did any of you get a hold of the Blast update set for the T-55 ?
I found the rangefinder here:
http://www.accurate-armour.com/ShowProduct.cfm?manufacturer=0&category=4&subcategory=35&product=2232
I'll get one next month for sure.

.
If you want to reproduce a Russian T-55 a with rangerfinder, DSK MG is the right choice in my opinion

To make the kit into a russian built version, you need to add two things:
The perforated metal strips around the engine deck grills, for mounting the wading cover. See here:
http://www.primeportal.net/apc/schlicht/iraqi_t-55_walk.htm
The driver's periscope wiper water reservoir. A rectangular box fitted between the driver's LHS armor and the stowage box next to it.

Here with the associated plumbing

Btw, to make the kit into a non russian built version, you'd need to change the engine deck.
Enjoy your project.
