Trouble with me is I can never finish a model - always thinking there's something I've missed or could be improved.
Anyway - heres my 'final draft' so to speak - many thanks to all of you for your kind comments during the build - time for the Big Cat to come off the production line.

John , this tank has looked great since the first time it was posted . Now it looks just plain AWESOME!!! one small thing to fix - the locater holes for the rear fenders - you didn't fill them in , not a big problem . Just put this cat on a dio base and you have a show winner !! I give this tank (++) (++) (++) (++) (++) out of a posible 4 pigs .

Thanks guys
Some astute observations ( yeah I was lazy about the rear mudguard holes Turrettoad13 - I'll fill them in ) and yes that cable isn't quite secured properly - again, something I'll tidy up.
The scratches are painted on with a very fine brush, using artists oil paint (burnt umber mixed with a little black) and the face is a standard technique I use for all my figures.
Base coat flesh - brown wash - add some white to the flesh + highlight cheeks, lips, nose and chin (all raised areas) Then another brown wash but this time more diluted - Add more white to that flesh colour for tips of nose, chin, cheeks etc.
Lastly mix a little brown + black and with a fine point darken the eyesockets - don't try to paint eyes, it rarely looks good.

Impresive beast. I like it all. Like very much the running gear and traks.
How did you wash, what did you use for washing. What bran of paint ? Well done.

Very nice work John. I'm not an expert in German WWII stuff, but I think that a bit of dirt on the grids of the engine deck will add something to an already very good piece...

Many thanks to you all
As just a final addition I have added an additional crew mwmber - hope you like him
To answer some questions - the faces are painted with Citadel Miniatures acrylic paint, whilst everything else was painted with humbrol enamels (including the tank)
The scratcheds were burned-umber oil paint applied wih a very fine brush.
