I have been given an old Trumpeter `IDF TI 67 kit.
The IDF parts have been removed leaving me with a T54 option.
Now, i`m not looking to build a 100% perfect T54 model, i only want a model that looks like a T54 sat on my shelf.
I know the old Trumpeter kits are not perfect, so can any one tell what i can do to improve the basic kit with out using aftermarket parts (this is after all a side interest).
I have a few extra parts from the Tamiya T62 and spare cupola parts from Tamiya T55.
I don`t plan on doing major surgery to the kit just a few basic improvements.
Any ideas are most welcome.
Thanks and regards
Malcolm

Not sure what is in the Ti67 kit, but the biggest thing needed is the roof ventilator for a T-54. Beyond that, look at pics to see what you want to do.
Just the roof ventilator will give you a fair T-54. Beyond that = lots of work.

The kit offers two build alternatives, the TI67 and T54.
The turret mushroom vent is part of the kit, and the engine decks look right according to photos i`ve seen.
I`ll give it a go and see if i like it, if i don`t like it in the bin it goes with no loss to my pocket.
Thanks
Malcolm

Thanks Mauro
I have looked through the links in the `How to model` threads and Prime Portal
and i think i`m ready to have a go, although i have a couple of Land Rovers to finish first.
If i like the result i might have to treat myself to some AM tracks.
