Hey all,

I got two things I want to ask about regarding the T-62.

1. I want to build a fairly accurate model of the Tiran-6 in use by the IDF. I've heard of a conversion kit from A.E.F. I will try to track one down (any other similar conversion sets out there?) but if I have to make certain bits myself, what are some of the changes made to the T-62 by the Israelis?

2. I want to give the T-62 another go. My first one was the Tamiya T-62A. I want to try to build it with a bit more detail, so I want to go at it with a Verlinden T-62A update set #1627 (cast resin bits & PE). How good is it and what other changes would be good?

For both these project I'm gonna be using the Tamiya T-62A. Can get them pretty cheap, fairly accurate and did I mention I can get them cheap? These are going to be test beds so I don't expect super duper results. This is more of a experience gaining activity. We learn by doing right?

Hi

Actually Tamiya kit isn't too accurate because it has wrong dimensions (its scale is closer to 1/32 rather than the correct 1/35) Anyway, I agree that is a cheap kit, cheaper than Trumpeter kit (which however we can't consider as an expensive kit)

Anyway if you need references about the IDF Tiran-6 you can look here

Have a good luck

cheers
