Very nice build! Milo, how did you make those red and blue wires (air and electric for trailer?)

Both are air lines. The blue is called the Service Air Line. This line provides air to operate the tractor and trailer brakes when the brake pedal is depressed. Service air is activated by pushing the yellow diamond shaped knob, located on the dash panel, down until it locks.

The red line is the Emergency Service/Supply Line. It has two purposes:

1. to provide air for the trailer air tanks, and
2. to control the emergency brakes on combination vehicles, ie, a tractor/trailer set. This air supply is activated by pushing down the red octagonal knob, located directly below the yellow service air knob, until it locks. The lines are color coded to prevent crossing them. If that happens, take my word on this, the rest of your day will really suck.

I was a linehaul driver.

WOW! what an amazing result so far Miloslav! You're truly a truck king around here
So your CKP M1070, M1070 and M1000 trailer are completely finished now?
I would love some more pictures of the installed engine with all those cables as a reference for my build. I've arrived at the same point so any reference would be amazing!

One more question about your M0170, is the cab removable from the chassis? or is it glued in place? would be a shame if it should be glued and cannot be taken of in the future because there is som many detail underneath....

Good luck Miloslav!

Thanks Boris, this cab is glued but i build next HET with E.T. PE parts.
This HET is very detailed, there will be a cab maybe not glued.

Yeah, I have all the available ET sets on my M1070 and your interior and resin engine set so I will have to figure how to keep the cab removable from the truck just because I would love to keep the detail visible.

I really love your engine btw and will review it soon.
There only a lack of references for the hoses locations and such. can you provide more pictures / references on that?

Milo, this entire thread has been extremely informative. You have created a veritable masterpiece. You've created a new standard for non-AFV builds with this baby. The unfortunate thing is that the rest of us can only try to accomplish the same. The hose runs and CPK, by themselves, are works of art. The greased fifth wheel is something a lot of us would've overlooked. Stupendous effort and superior results.

Jim,
Conversion to an older version is simple, do some photos today for information. It can rebuild any modeller.

Like Miloslav said, go through the TM's, especially the -20's, -24P and the -34's. there are schematics and line reference numbers which indicate proper routing and connections. Be careful, though. Once you start, you might want to depict every one of them

Hello all,

You may or may not remember me, i built the trailer for this monsterfirst, then got sidetracked by something else.

I have just picked up this kit again this week, and have finally started on the tractor unit. I'm currently building the chassis and suspension parts.

I have the PE CPK, PE Interior, Resin wheels and resin engine sets and want to buy the resin transfer case set, but I have looked on Milo's site and I need to have a minimum €15 order and €10 minimum delivery.

Is there anywhere else I can purchase the set in the UK?

I'll add to my build thread later today... if I can find it!!

HET mania continue.
After an extended medical leave, I can continue to the next HET. Also starting to assemble the M1070A2. Later I add new photos.
