It's really strange they made a vehicle like this without an engine.. since they put engines in kits of other vehicles that are totally closed up and where the engine isn't as important as it is in this tractor... oh, well..

Well Hisham, that's another occasion for extra parts companies
Well, joking aside, I think Trumpeter have been really getting better with their latest releases and I thanks them for their efforts in eastern subjects, but in my opinion they still have to improve if they want to be a top notch company.
It would have been GREAT in my opinion if this kit would have been made by Miniarm...
Cheers

I remember seeing a post about LZ Models working on an engine for the tractor... but I was just wondering why Trumpeter would do it without.. when they do other vehicles with engines.

well...Who knows? maybe they wanted to reduce the costs.
Also Maz 537, which is a kit far more exepensive than Stalinez tractor, don't have an engine and that's a huge flaw in my opinion because you have a large windows on the rear of the bonnet and you can easily notice that engine bay actually is empty....
But of course you're right , that could be disappointing indeed for the modellers. Even Tamiya jeep (which is an older and cheaper kit) has a depiction of the engine, is quite puzzling that Trumpeter has reproduced only the engine carter
That's it.They still have some problems about quality.
So why for exemple do they still make vinyl tracks and wheels in some kits wheras other ones have single track links ? In their T-62 they have provided an aluminum gun barrel...In other kits we have plastic gun barrel molded in two parts...On average shapes and details of their products are stunning...but there's always something incorrect (see for exemple T-62 engine deck and turret or Asu-85 with wrong tracks and with any mantlet cover... )
I'm waiting for their T-64...I cross my finger and I really hope they'll be able to do a good job. Unfortunately I can't be sure about
So as I told before, on average i like a lot their products, but they must improve them!
