Hi folks,

Here's my Leopard 2A6 of the Lord Strathcona's Horse on QRF duty, Highway 1, Kandahar, summer 2008.

It took me a while to build, but I more or less like the results. I wish that resin conversion kit had come out before I started this project though.

Criticism/pointers for improvement welcome

Nice, well done dusty effect.

Is that the HB leo or the Tamiya one?

What did you use to stick the netting down?

And where is the thermal imaging sight?

It sure looks beat the hell, like it!

cheers

I think that cuda looks excellent. Better than any of the resin I've seen. Much of the resin ones, the litte 'flaps' of the circles are broken off or moulded flat. You're looks very realistic.

As for criticism, I'm not a fan of the ISAF badge etc on top of the ground work. Kind of looks like an afterthought to fill that corner?

Oh yeah, the slat armour looks awesome too, all pranged up!

I used the Tamiya kit because I had it on hand. If I did it again, definetly would have used the hobbyboss kit. I used metal embossing foil for the barracuda cam "backing". I pressed it down over the hull and superglued it in place.

The thermal sight is there, but in the photos the CC and cocktail umbrella (which I sorta gave up on after a few attempts) block it.
