I'm building the Maz 537G w/ trailer for the support / recovery campaign. I thought I 'd post my WIP of the ChMZAP- 5245 G trailer here, to get some feedback on the progress.
The trailer details will be supported using the Voyager PE set, and some scratchbuilding along the way. Enough talk..here's a few pics so far!
here's the pe set for the build..
I found some nasty ejector marks under the gooseneck, that required some putty..actually alot!
While the putty dried, I cleaned up the large trailer deck parts...nice to work on parts I can handle!
more to follow!

Time to open up that voyager set...I really like the set, but the parts require VERY careful bending as I'll show later.
Here's the new mud-flaps..before& after bending.
This makes all the consuming bending worth it..
I realized the spare tire boom was missing the front roller, so out came the spares box!The roller came from the italeri "big foot" kit The cable guide was fashioned from a strip of scrap brass..I'll add the cable from thread.

OK..after grinding off the kit trailer deck cleats..we add them back using the PE parts. Here's where I'm struggling to find a suitable method of bending. They require multiple bends, and my "bug" bender only allows one bend. I found bending the "flaps" first, then using a chisel blade to hold the parts works ok.
Here's a couple finished!
After finding a rythym..heres they are added to the deck
Any advice or feedback welcome~~
