Hello everyone. I would like to present model, which I finish presently. This is soviet self-propelled gun SU 122-54. There were about 80 built in 1955-57..My miniature is scratched using lower hull and suspension of T-54 from SKIF (and also some wheels from Tamiya's T-34).
Track links are from Trumpeter's set, barrels for wkmu barrel and the cannon, towing cables, outline markers and antenna are from RB.
White styrene parts are scratched myself.
This miniature does not represent any specific vehicle- as a reference I used pictures of a few different prototypes.
Pictures from the building step.
...and presently.

Very nice work. Thank you for the pleasure.
Can I somewhere see more photos, or the build process?
I wanted to ask how the base is made vignettes, what materials were used, in what sequence? It was very natural earth and grass.

I'm really glad that you like it. A full building-log and step by step article about this SP-gun will be published i Super Model International ( a new magazine from Kagero publishing), in the second half of the year, I believe..
It is not ZPU but designed to the armored vehicles version of this gun-KPVT. Barrels for it are from RB-model. The same with the main gun of the vehicle.
As for the references, this vehicle was built according some really not precise small blueprint, and mostly just follow the photographs of original vehicles.

Amazing work! Truly amazing.
The quality of the scratch building is really first class. It never ceases to amaze me what people can do with a few sheets of plastic card.

I wanted to ask how the base is made vignettes, what materials were used, in what sequence? It was very natural earth and grass.
Ground is a mix of potting soil, MiG pigmnets, and a Uni-grunt fastdrying priming emulsion over a base coat of grey pumice Vallejo paste, finally fonished with pigments. As for the vegetation I used various shades of static grass from POLAK company and pieces of brush.

What are you going to do next?
I don't now yet...perhaps...T-44?
This model of SU-122-54 is my second scratched miniature.
Thank you all for your attention to my model and really kind words.

Vignette is already finished. As a final touch I added two figures from MiniArt set (updated a liitle, with some belts and resin heads). Both painted using Vallejo acrylics.
