Hi all.
I stumbled over AFV Clubs T-34/85 kit with interior and had the idea to build the kit as destroyed NKPA tank from Korean War.
I guess that when a tank is hit by AT or Bazooka rounds and the turret blows of, not much is left from the interior.
Are there any photographic references of burned out T-34/85 tanks, no matter if Korea, WW2 or Mid East?
TIA

Nice challenge. Certainly a burned out tank is one of the mother of all challenges when modelling.
Being technically accurate will certainly win some accolade, but painting / weathering a burned out vehicle is where the challenge really lies.
If I may offer an opinion - investigate as much time into painting and weathering execution as you do historical/ technical accuracy. As one without the other leaves an obvious uneasy look about the completed model.
Just my 2 cents but its hard to appreciate all the work done with an interior in a destroed vehicle if its just painted black with a bit or rusty brown thrown in. A destroyed burned out interior is an art that is to be much respected to be done properly.
Hope you succeed in your challenge. You don't see many burned out wrecks modelled at all - very few and far between, and good quality ones are even rarer.

I agree
It could be useful looking at the Rob Ferreira's sites

He is the master for this kind of jobs
Another link which I can advise, is the "Rusty knocked out and/or abandoned Vehicles" section of Mig Production forum.

Here the best modellers show their wrecked vehicles and lots of techniques about how to depict them
