Ola Guys

I have a question to the russian members here. I'm currently working on part of a destrotyed bridge. See pic

And was wondering if the soviets put an anti slip coating on the roadsurfaces of their bridges. I know it was common practice in the early days here in Holland to sprinkle gravel/split onto a layer of tar on top of the road surface of the bridge and even today this is still used. Did the Russians do the same?

Looking forward to hear from you.

No gravel on our wooden bridges were used - only surface of wood itself.
See examples:
1) Here are two wooden tracks for vehicles:

2) Here is one central way for vehicles, consisting of many different boards. Note two narrow board ways for people - on left hand and on right hand from central way (of two "lines" each):

3) Example of railway wooden bridge:

Ola Eduard

Thanks for that information. It was very usefull. It also gave me some pointers to detail I forgot to add to my bridge which I added this evening but it also gives me a good idea about what color it needs to be. I'm going to weather the bridge with something I have never tried but if I have understood it correctly I can create these shades of silvery grey with it.
