Top of the morning to everyone, recently i finished Trumpeters LAV III and wanted to share my work. The kit does have some short comings, but overall it was a good challenging build. I wanted to model it as a vehicle that has seen extensive use in A-stan and i think i got the look i was after.

Thanks for looking, i appreciate any feedback, comments or suggestions

Hey really nice job. the weathering is awesome.

Here are some points for the A-stan LAV III

- licence plates were turned around as to keep the lav anonymous
- the stowage bins were left behind as they blocked the air sentries view and a strecher would have been placed on the holder
- wire cutter would be down if hatches down for driver still left up on turret
- if you can find a florecent orange ribbon for the rear turret stowage bin we used them as aircraft IFF

other then that a very good job indeed again the mud detailing is excellent

I drove LAV III for 5 years with 1 PPCLI on OP Athena roto 2 and OP Archer ROTO 1

Thanks Nick, i was under the impression that early in the deployment the rear storage bin was on then taken of, same with the license plates. As to the IFF, do you have any pictures of the tarp?
Thanks

You could also just paint the top of a cooler instead of the IFF flag.

cheers

Very interesting pictures, how did you fixate the stretcher to the back of the LAV?

We strapped them down with utility staps like the ones used to hold the jerry cans. There are slits we were able to pass them through on the stowage bin arms. There was no standard on how to secure them just as long as they were secure.
