Nice work Michael. The home made base is really impressive I like it a lot! I've just primed the Cromwell myself I hope I can achieve a similar paint job to mine in regards to the standard of it....

A beautiful and attractive build and base. Just curious, what are those loose bricks made of? Every time I see this build it makes me want to kick myself for not buying one when I had the chance. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Jan

Many thanks
I used an after market product. They are in 1:72 scale and made of plaster, tinted terracotta and grey. I repainted them as they seemed too pale.

I really like what you've done with this kit and in a single colour too! :-) These Airfix kits look like that with care they can still be something or more. Your home-made bases are also quite simple yet effective.

@sabredog – Michael,
Congratulations Michael, you did an outstanding job on both the kit and base. I like the weathering with a splash of color from the decals and tool handles. Personally I would like to have seen some tired down stowage on the rear deck, seems these fellows always travels with extra stuff. Nonetheless a winner for me! Its good to see you posting again.

Nice build. The next one from Airfix is reported as being a King Tiger (as if you hadn't seen the ads).
It will be interesting to see how the track is done as the system used on the Cromwell will only work when the sprocket teeth do not need to actually go through the track.
Long live 1/76!
Chris

Beautiful work Michael!!!!!!!!!!
I allways see the kit in the local hobbyshop but I think that´s an old Airfix mould.
