Hi all,

Im building a T62 at the moment and would like to add a crew figure or two. Can anyone suggest some decent figures? As the topic suggests it will be a Chechnya conflict vehicle.

Tank has some really nice resin Russian tank crew figures in their portfolio, perfectly suitable for Chechnia... in winter or summer uniforms, you name it. I have one of those sets and the figures are very well sculpted.

There are four of them and they go well with a T-62 or T-55 (though they are in summer clothing and may not be as up-to-date as Tank Models figures re: Chechnya.

Zvezda do some decent plastic figures as well. Check out my review of them here

Yes they are quite good, and as you say inexpensive. Although two of the crew are standing outside of the tank, they can be easily modified to sit in the turret hatches. I've converted my set to fit the T-72, and with some new arms and a bit of putty they look quite natural.

So I picked up the Zvezda set and it turns out I still need a little help.

Due to the nature of the hatches if I want to put a figure in the turret he has to sit in the right hatch with the AA gun. Now I have a question about this hatch and the attached AA gun. Does it rotate?

All pictures I have seen show the hatch/gun facing forward. So this would be the postition of the turret guy.
