Dragon has announced news of a figure set in progress and no its not German, it is a Vickers team in action as a part of the British Expeditionary Force during the early part of World War Two.

After having made beautiful sculptures of Axis military in almost all poses, they (finally ) come up with the Allies.

Start with Canadians, Polish soldiers, Aussies. You have plenty sources! And us, modelers, can finally start filling our tanks, APV's and artillery pieces.

I found a great illustration of a British Vickers team in 1939 from an old Blandford book on British Army uniforms iullustrated by Jack Cassin-Scott. Even though it lacks a lot of detail I love this style of illustration

Nice to see another set of British Troops. A Vickers Crew 1940s will be a nice addition to those early style vehicles that are now much more accessable.
