Hi
After my UAZ-469, I decided to build 4 trucks based on Ural 4320 chassis.
So I started one of the chassis, in order to check all difficulties
I let the rear axle movable in order to go in different grounds.
I thought also using Miniarm wheels. But I do not know how to assemble them. Rims are too narrow and I do not know how far I have to grain them in order to get each half rim together.
I have another good question : how are the seats looking in the real vehicule ?
Have a nice day
Norbert

Many thanks Mauro
The second link does not work for me.
but the other references will help me.
I see the passenger seat base is different from other pictures I have. I also know the driver seat base is different from the passenger seat base.
Does somebody know how these seatbases look from the front ?
I started to work on the spare wheel frame and...man, I must understand how it works, because I think it must be half rebuild.

Sadly (for modellers), "Ural" trucks have too many versions, which have both big and small differences. Also military and civil versions have differences too, and period of production too.
My friend in our town works at plant, which makes different machines for road building and for municipal engineering, using the chassis of different truck's producers. This plant uses "Ural" chassis too - see below images of those vehicles and their designations:
- MD-555,
- MD-432-02,
- ATsB-12IIIA-01,
- MK-10V.
And my friend (he is scale modeller too) has noticed, that every new batch of chassis have differences - at least small or smaller - from previous batch (almost every time).
Thus, it is too hard to build "ideal", 100 %-authentic model of "Ural" truck.
But You can try to do this as much as possible.
So, cabine seats - and here we can see differences too.
An example:
It looks like more modern civil version of seat base.
But following two pictures shows early military style of bases:
Driver's seat:
These two images are correspond to period of production and to models of "Ural", that You have.
As for spare wheel holder - check Your e-mail box.

Hi Eduard
Many thanks for your help
If I understand well, Ural truck is like Chevrolet Corvette : there is a model '76, 77 and so for each year.

Hi
I continue the frame, OOB so far
As you can see, some pieces are very crude, like the engine
There is an issue with the strut (see red arrow) who toutches the transmission box. The strut must be installed as low as possible and some gaining is needed
appart this, no special issue.
I think I can start my other frames
You see also how false the spare wheel holder is. Some work to do there.

Hi
I can not do much on the Mi-6 these days, so I deceided to prepare the Miniarm Ural wheels
I had a problem with the rims, too narrow for the tire hole. So I added a strip of Dymo tape on the rims
Hope it will look not too bad
Dimension of back rim was good
So the wheels will be usable

You're right Matt, but not much choice here.
On pictures, the sagging is often not very obvious so it will be OK for me.

Hi Mauro
That bring me to think I have to check if I have to add these wheel balance weight on the rim. They seem not to be on every wheel

Well, if the wheel is already well balanced, you don't need to add the weights on the rim. Anyway, adding some weights on the rims, would make look your wheels more realistic

Is that an MI-6 helicopter in the back ground?
Who makes that kit? Is that 1/47 or bigger?
Impressive work.
Thanks for sharing.
