these are the photos of my last work. The dio isn't finished. There are some russian troops, spetsnaz paratroops and some afghan rebell. the tank is a bmd-1p.
the dio rappresent soviet army in afghanistan in the '70-80
all the figures and the tank are painted by brush (because I don't use airbrush)
tell me what you tink...

Good start Venom - I find the scene interesting at this stage. I'm building a BMD-1P(+) too - over at the T2K Campaign. How did you like this model kit?

Hey Vernom,

Looking good! That dio and my lil Afghani dio should go next to each other at the AMPS Nats next year! Hey, Afghani's are not a main subject draw.

Keep up the great work.

Nice work. The groundwork is awesome, I really like the different elevations, makes it seem like there is 3 or 4 little vignettes within the dio. How did you like those ICM figures and does the sniper on the tank have on a UN doo rag?

tank you for the nice words

Cdave : where I can find the photos of your afghan dio?

Bison : This is my intention 3 or 4 vignette in the same dio :-) the Icm russian troops are quite nice, not too nice the afghan rebels. the dio is in progress so the sniper have blue bandana but I want to cange the colour with another. It isn't an onu cap or elmet. Probably It will be green or flat yellow. What do you think of red for the Red Army?

Vernom,

Go here for the latest. Note that it is not completly done as one of the two figures I am still painting will be decided. I am leaning heavely to Warik over Masoud.

Good brushwork Venom, I'm really interested to see how this turns out . How are you going to 'dust' down the whole scene without using an airbrush?

The ground work is good, however I don't think that such camo scheme has ever been used in Afghanistan. Also guards insignia was usually painted on parade vehicles only.

Very Nice Venom. Namshow Actually that Tank is about the size of a Humvee (Seen a Picture of a 1/35 one compared to a 1/35 Humvee by someone in the T2k Campaign.)
