Hello everybody, my name is Manos and I come from Greece.
This is my first post in Armorama and I'd like to show you a last year construction of me. This is the captured KV-1 of HobbyBoss in 1/48 scale, OOB made. I have only a little under construction photos and of course the photos of the finished model. I hope you will enjoy, thanks for viewing

Congrats! You've done some nice things with weathering and the camo lines are great. I think it would look better on a dusty base though
Good job.
You can join the 1/48 build campaign if you have another kit ready to start

Hi Mano, glad to see you here. Very nice job. I like it very much, especially the tracks.

I really like these kits, and I agree with Greg about getting some dusty groundwork on that base. The gloss wood finish seems like it is taking away from all the weathering you did.

Thank you guys for commenting. I 'm glad you like my job. Actually I never thought to put, especially this model, on some vignette. Actually, this base was a hasty solution, in order to participate in IPMS Hellas national competition 2010. Probably in the future I will make a base, with some kind of ground work, for it. Greg, although I already have three different projects on my bench, the idea of joining the 1/48 campaign looks really cool to me
Thank you all again for your comments.

On thing that occurs to me regarding the finishing is that the nationality markings are undersized; it was common practice to put larger-than-normal nationality markings on captured vehicles in an attempt to avoid getting fired on by friendly troops who see an 'enemy' tank:

Actually you are right, but as I mentioned previously this was an OOB construction so I used the decals provided in the box by HB

Δεν μου αρέσει!!!! Εϊναι λάθος!!!!!
Really nice work Manos!!!!
Maybe a proper base is what is missing, to properly emphasise your work...
Keep it up!!!

Nice to find you here Orestis
I'm happy you like it.
Actually this period, I prefer to finish some of my semi-completed projects than make a base for KV
Thanks a lot.
