Hi , here is the part III of the Luchs build, I got the Aber PE for ICM Luchs for the kit, for one thing alone the grill cover on the back thingy (Yes, Lord WWH, I still don't know what the heck it is called. )But I gave in to my PE passion, and used a little clamps here and there. and added chains for the head lamp.
Lord WWH, note the left Lamp, I am gonna do something special for ya.
The Aber PE is for ICM, hence the back thingy grill is too large, I cutted it smaller to fit the Tasca kit, and hope it will come out okay.

Looking real smart Dave... However, a question, why are the notek/headlamps chained up? was there an inherent problem with people taking souvenirs of tanks? Just a stupid comment, looking excellent at the moment (could change when you put the Alcad on it...) Jim #:-)

nice job Dave, i can't wait to start mine. believe you me PE can make a great model look even better. and i have got a lot of PE for my Tasca Luchs kit. and a few people to sit on it too. maybe i'll use it to replace my damaged panzers. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Lord Thingy:
These in progress pics look good. How you can assemble these things like clockwork and never have any glue smudges showing during construction is beyond me.
The PE looks impressive----some of it is pretty petite and must be difficult to place and work with.
Thanks for keeping us posted.

whos you uday_too? nices build overal. few quesntions. why uses onlies pe handles for tools? not uses all pe for clampers. blackes wheels veries interesteds. Uday is veries stimulated and exciteds for your amachure build. perhaps put in amachures magasinzes when finishes? manie warm wishes.
Uday Dude,
To answer your question. I was lazy, hence, the handles. Black wheels are nice, I love them. How's your Pz IV coming along?
Note to Moderator and other members: Again, I am totally cool with Uday's post, I am comfortable enough with my modeling effort, a little Uday won't hurt me, and I think it's funny.

Tazz, Thanks for your kind words. Luchs is really a Pz II ausf L. after beginning of the war, Germany realized that their Pz I and Pz II basicly sucked. so they convert them into a lot of other uses. Pz II ausf L was a recon tank, it was originally planned to have a 50mm gun turret, so the first 20 was built with 20 mm gun turret first, but with the progress of war, all of the luchs were with 20mm gun turrets. I think there was only 100 of them built.
HTH and Manie Warm Wishes.

SS-74,
Excellent work, one of the guys in our club has just finished on of these and it is an excellent kit. Your work here looks good and clean - and I too love all the shiny thingies!
As to the question about the chains on the lights - are they not just retaining chains just to make sure the light does not "fall off" and get lost? Most small chain work on vehicles is to serve this purpose.
Please post more pics as the build continues.
