Hello everyone
This is my build of glorious russian tractor Stalinetz S-65 from Trumpeter. For the best look I bought a diesel engine for this model from LZ-Models. Here is a little overview what I have done until this moment.
Basic paint job is done
And little bit more
What do you think about it?

Neat build so far, I like the scratched parts on engine. But, IMHO,the engine is probably still too clean. They leaked oil like hell and were covered in dark muddy grime very soon, not much of bare metal or original paint were seen. You could give it a light to medium spray of earth coloured paints or pigments.

It's easy I painted in this order: Vallejo "Gray primer", ModelMaster "Steel", Hairspray, Vallejo "Olive drab". Oil and grase made with AK Interactive "Engine grime" and "Engine oil". Rust is natural, fixed with oilpaint ( Burnt sienna).

Hi Priit. Great job on the Stalinetz. Love what you did with the engine. Canīt wait to see it weathered. Have you any further plans for this ... towing something, figures, base, etc?
