My problem is that I only buy Trumpeter and HobbyBoss kits from Hong Kong.. they have the best prices.. at least for me
So, Jerome.. what do you think of the kit?

Just got mine from spruebrothers last week. Really nice kit and can see more versions will be popping up from the looks of the kit.

Hisham the kit has a really nice interior, but it's sad that most of it will not be seen. Seems that there are a few short cuts in the kit compaired to their BTR-60. None of the hatches for the engine deck are seperate expect for the two early style acces hatches towards the turret. Also the side view ports on the hull are molded are a clear part, but there is no open in the hull. Basically up would have to paint the back side of the part or you will see the grey hull through the ports. Beyond that, overall great kit campaired to the older crapy dragon kits.

I'm also holding out for the new T-64.
Hobby Link Japan has it for pre-order going for $53.20US and is scheduled release in October.

I got my hands on this from HLJ more than a month ago. I've submitted a review to the site here, it should be up soon. Chris has it quite right though- it has a nice full interior but it won't be too visible. I will say that it appears from some of the steps in the instructions that Trumpy are perhaps thinking about tooling different versions as there are a good few bits to fill and/or remove on various pieces, so thats quite interesting.

Yes Karl, it must be so. As you know, Trumpeter always produce several versions starting from one model. That's one of their strongest points in my opinion. All in all If they have called the kit "EARLY", it means that "MIDDLE" and "LATE" versions will be released
cheers mate

I wouldn't be surprised to see multiple versions of the BRDM 2. Not just the early, middle, and late, but also the SA-9 version (which would mean I could finally get rid of the old Dragon one in my stash), as well as the versions with the AT missiles.
Many different variants they could make!

Yeah Scott, I'd sure like some of the AT versions like the 9P122 Malyutka or the 9M113 Konkurs tooled- both were used fairly widely and like the SA-9 they look pretty cool too!
