Right Peter, at least a month extra so. If anyone needs a bit longer let me know and I'll extend the date in a few days

Doesn't appear to be a ribbon yet for this campaign. I created this one quickly, your thoughts?
Hopefully get a few more people motivated before the end date
Hi James,
Luca seems to have disappeared and I've taken over the campaign to help keep things moving along. Thanks for doing the ribbon: is there any significance to the colours?
And you figures are looking great too! Yours too Javier!
As this campaign has been a little dead of late would people be interested in a slight extension of the time? Say an extra month?
Hi Sean. I typed in special forces campaign and the ribbon colours came up as a United Kingdom/allies special forces medal. The badge is US special forces. I just read the campaign ribbons forum and I have no idea if its a .gif or not. Maybe someone who has more computer skills than me could look at it and resize to see if it looks okay in the correct size.
An extension would be great. Glad to see a few more people getting interested in this one. Cheers for taking the campaign over.

The last Special Forces campaign was in 2010 (I have it in my Kitmaker photo Gallery) so I am hoping not to miss this deadline. Thanks for the deadline extension as it might be a long time to wait for the next campaign centered on Special Forces.

I forgot to mention that the ribbon was made in paint.
Here's the progress so far:
The two on the left were painted prior to joining this campaign. Still have to finish painting the arms for the sitting figure as I had to do some modifications and finished painting/adding details such as eyebrows and the 12 o'clock 'shadow.
They have been sprayed with gloss varnish for decal adhesion and eventually I will spray with matt so they wont be staying that 'shiny'.
Javier
Very interested to see how the commando figures turn out. I made those OOB a few years ago (looking back I have improved heaps since then) and found them to be pretty good figures but I could not get the decals to adhere even with setter and softener. Very interested to see how you go.

Thanks James for that explanation on the banner...is everyone happy to use it?
Or this one by Delbert on the Ribbon Designers thread:
Those figures are fantastic. It's one area I avoid I'm so bad at them....

Thanks Julian.
I'm still improving slowly but surely. Had a look at your figures, they look excellent.
My fiancé helped changed the ribbon to a GIF and we shrank it and it looked quite good.
If everyone is happy Sean are you able to upload it as the campaign ribbon or does anyone know how to go about it? Never tried it before. Havent had much chance to work on the figures but will hopefully get some more progress in the next few days.

Hi Sean,
I take you're running this for Luca now?
Well I almost forgot this one, but I would like to get going now
with this:
Is a late start like this allowed, especially as we are in extra time already?
I would like to have the Breda Gun mounted on the rear deck, but have not yet found a pic of how it sits in there
Has any one knowledge of this ?
And James 1.5 month campaign should be a piece of cake

Late start is allowed Paul and welcome on board with a nice choice. Will be interesting to see with the gun mounted on the rear.

Hi Sean,
the build is easy, as always with Tamiya . You just need to
to be careful with cleaning and cutting from the sprue.
As to the sun compass here's a pic I found on the net:-
for discussion only
It's a different type to the one I made, as my version could be fitted to something else , in other words I not sure
what the vehicle is, but it still looks better than the blob
Tamiya supplies
I'll get some more progress pics up soon.

Hi there,
another quick update:-
rear deck before being reworked
reworked
I added some flimsies from Academy and the holding frame is scratched from 0.5mm plastic card, the retainer is 2 mm "C" profile from Plastruckt. The wing nuts are also from Academy.
I added some jerry cans to the drivers side with foil straps
and a copper wire buckle
That's all for now, more tomorrow hope, you like it.

Some say he dips resin in his beer or that he is a plasticholic all we know he's called Paul !
Another Rocket Boosted SuperFast build
Paul, I'm going to have to change every Campaign schedule or make a "Paul Rule"..
Paul Rule : 1 month deadline w/ 1 week extension or 4 builds to have a ribbon ...
Is there a camo scheme for that or it's just plain desert yellow ?
How are the Breda gun details ?
Take care Paul !! Great work so far... I bet it's finished by Monday..

Hi John,
I'm afraid to say I have been hold up with work and another problem called life. I had to decorate the flat ( orders from the better half) and there has been a couple of birthdays and parties with some mates, but I#m getting back to normal now .
The camo will be light stone with possibly some silver grey stripes. Also lots of stowage and guns to come yet
Paul
P.S. Please don't dip resin in your beer, it's not good for the beer
