This is a little tutorial about easy and fast weathering and dusting of a desert car.

I want to represent a relatively new vehicle.

First wash of STEEL PLATE, moist first with water, then let filter slide into recesses. I like to give this a little metallic effect because it revives the flatness of a plain gray.

When the wash is dry, a global filter with GENERAL AGEING.
I leave that remains uneven, and accumulating a bit in the interstices, to give a minimum wear and highlight panels, doors ...

proceed as follows:

get wet with plenty of water

apply just a little of filter and distribute it all over the area

when dry, depending on the amount applied, we obtain a thin and well distributed dust, more into recesses

i repeated on all sides: moist, apply filter

I made a first "shy" step on the whole side, to measure out the dirtying

and when dry, I decided to make a second pass on the lower parts, to reinforce the effect

That looks very nice! Thank you for the tutorial. Do you know if True Earth paints are available in the US?

Matt

I have ordered twice, and the shipping is fast and very reasonable. I love the products, and I highly recommend them.

From looking at the site, I've found no prices. As far as I can tell, you commit to buy and they tell you how much was charged.

Nice, something I need to work on. My first attempt was more random dusting on horizontal surfaces and tracks. Need to refine it....

You have to click on the Shop Online, then they seperated by categories, for example

http://www.true-earth.com/contents/en-uk/d38_Filtri_Generali_-_Lavaggi_Generali_-_Lavaggi_Selettivi_-_Pannellature_-_Ombreggiatura_.html

Most of the bottles are about 5 Euros,so about $6-$7 US.
