Anyone else see this on Ebay? Trump BTR-60pb w/ a BTR-80a turret? I know they make these for export. Could the new BTR-80 and 80a be long in the coming?

BTR-80A turret is called BPPU and BPPU-1. They can be retrofitted to a lot of vehicles, including the BTR-60. Interestingly, they can also be put on the BRDM-2, the M113, and the AMX-10 as direct replacements. Hmmmmm.....

You know, following the Trumpeter habit of going early to the late derivates.
This is the last set of modernized BTR-family, BRDM-2 and BTR-60 is still very numerous, many countries can not afford new vehicles.
There are BTR-60 chassis with integrated Sztrela-10 air defense missile.
The base vehicle is still excellent off-road capability, immunity can be increased, the motor is replaceable.
Few modernization can still inadequate.
It is possible to release the Trumpeter, the BTR-80 version.

BTR-80 is coming guys, just a matter of time...probably early 2013.
January releases have already been announced, it has a late BTR-70 on it....I would expect to see the first BTR80 probably March or April.

Hi Jacques, I as on the brink of buying the BTR-60PB upgunned turret but i wondered if this was heavily used. Were these used in any major conflict or peacekeeping missions?

I do not think the BTR-60 version was ever more than just a few prototypes. I have not seen pictures of the M113 conversion, so that may just have been a press release by the company that it was possible based on measurements and weights (engineering stuff - no mockup).
The BPPU turret is very versatile and could be applied the many vehicles easily, so you can let your imagination fly.
This is the only picture I could easily find of it, from a 2006 expo, where it is listed only as BTR-60PB Upgraded
