Hi all,
Here is my latest project,
I was planning this for a couple of months now, but when I heard that Resicast was making a resin conversion for the Breda Gun Carrier I knew I'll buy it as soon as it was possible.
Last sunday it was time. At the Scale Model Challenge show in the netherlands I could buy this conversion
(for photos of the show check http://www.wargamer.com/Hosted/Panzer/smc2012/index.html )
The conversion is very complete and fits the Tamiya kit fine. The details are great and the clean up is minimal.

Martin Nice work!!!
If mine comes out half as great as your LRDG CHEVY did I would be a happy man. WoW. Where did the Breda ammo magazines and spent shell casings come from, Are the in the Kit?
I orderd both kit conversion's and some figures to. Cheers Danny

Hi Martin,
Excellent build, and the Resicast kit looks to have covered all the major issues of the conversion.
Did you alter the rear suspension, or give that a miss?
Terrific looking finish.
Cheers

Thanks for the replies,
The breda looks fine to my, but there is always room for improvement next time.
You did a great job on your breda.

That's a superb build! I've got a couple of these to build and this has just sold me the Resicast set. Outstanding work!

Hi Martin,
You've done a fine build there, looks terrific. Love the detail and stowage.
What's you opinion of the conversion set?
Cheers

Hi Martin,
Very nice work. I note the presence of an extra gear shift which I'm guessing is to operate a two-speed rear axle. I've never been able to verify that the Canadian-built Chevy LRDG trucks had them, but two-speed axles on Chevys of that vintage were vacuum operated and engaged by means of a small push-pull knob located below the large knob on the gear shift.
The stowage looks great, but at least half the normal load on outbound LRDG trucks consisted of fuel cans ("flimsies.")
Cheers,
Dick

Thanks all,
The conversion set is great. The details are fantastic. The only but is, if you are good with scratchbuilding you can do this conversion yourself.
The other minor is the stowage which isn't sculped well this is my opinion.
But the fit is very good
