Hi all,
I want to show you my latest work, once its finished it will be a T-72A from the syrian Army. To build this model I used Tamiyas lower hull, Verlinden upper hull, beautiful turret from NK Patriota Models, RB gun and antenna, various bits from Eduard and scratch, and the turret bins from CMK. This is where I´am right now. There will be slight (but not many) yellow camo lines on the tank and heavy/dusty weathering. Feel free to comment. I will post an update pretty soon as my weekend is dedicated to modelling
All the best,
Andreas

Damn i'm too slow Andreas, you beat me to the subject! I've been planning on doing one of these for a while, i've seen some pretty whacky camo on these tanks.
Looks excellent so far, very well done!

Hello Andreas,
I´m glad and honored that someone who bought my turret coversion is presenting his build.
There is just one point I have to tell you about a detail missing, that is significant for some T-72 "Ural" tanks of the Syrian Army.

On the right side of the turret, obliquely below the optical rangefinder is an additional bracket.

Thank you very much guys! really appreciate you taking your time to leave a comment.
Nenad, this is a very nice observation. I checked my files again and found one more pic showing this detail, but much lower than on the pic you shared.
PIC for discussion only, source unknown!
It´s may field feature? I´m not sure If I will add one on my build, but thanks for the heads up.
Hope to post more pics on sunday/monday.
All the best,
Andreas

This is a great looking build Andreas and the painting is coming along nicely, I'm looking forward to seeing the camo lines in place!

Very nice mix of materials Andreas
How did you get the PE straps around the gun barrel ? Doing so on my T-55 was a real pain. I hope you have a magic trick to share.

HI again folks,
thank you very much for your kind replies. Well, not really a magic trick but I sanded the inner side of the PE, the theory is, that it has better "grip" then. I used regular CA glue. I will keep you updatet on the progress.
All the best,
Andreas
