Here it is, the latest model I've been working on. It's the Panther A from Revell, not a bad kit apart from some fit issues (mainly hull-related). It's the first time for me doing a whitewash, so it's unknown territory for me. At least I'm happy with it. I haven't weathered it yet, but in the end it's going to be burnt out (yes, that's why the engine deck fits so poorly ). The base layer is Humbrol Sand + a bit of White, the camo is Vallejo Flat Earth, US Tan Earth and a bit of red. The whitewash is Vallejo Ivory. I think I'll do a white wash instead of a darkbrown one, to simulate the whitewash (are you still following me ?) being left in nooks and crannies.

Any comments are very welcome!

Hey there big guy. Is your engine lid warped? It could be the picture so I'm not downing you or the model. I think it looks awesome and the whitewash looks great.

Very nice start here , I too noticed the warped engine deck in pic # 3 . My guess here would be that it got bent when the AP round tore into the engine and forced it agnst the turret . My only suggestion at this time would be to mabey remove the engine access hatch - as it would probaly would have been blown off from the engine fire . Welcome to the site also ,good to have you here .

I like the model looks like a decent model of the Panther but of cause I am not much of a rivet counter looks close to a Panther A.
Did you email the folks at Revell and tell them deck is warped they might of sent a replacement one.
Never seen a kit that did not have some flaws in it and I don't care who makes it there is allways something that is not right. From $500.00 Tamiya kits to $30.00 Dragon kits.
I think with a resin deck and some aber Pe this would be a Great Panther.
It is great now I noticed you have all your road wheel arms level so good job unless they come allready mounted

I like the tow cables too homemade nice touch.
Seems a shame to destroy it.
nice white wash.
Wish I could help on that toning down look but have never done one.
Oh yes one more thing

I quess I didn't make myself very clear: I warped the engine deck on purpose, it WAS straight when I clipped it of the sprue Anyway thank you for your comments.
