Hi guys....here's the latest project
I have scraped the track guards...to thin in resin for me...thus weak ...so brass rebuilds it is on those....
I have drilled out the engine deck vents and will put in the ducts and plumbing as well as the rads...
I have sharpened the details on the turret and have got to 'stage One' on the texture using CAST-a-COAT...I intend to do this a lot smoother than the JS/T-34 types to represent the increased care and attention in the factory...casting marks/cutting marks and welds still to go on this

I hope you like it..

Howdy SlapHead,
From what I can see in the photo it all looks pretty good! You'll have to keep us abreast of your progress. It looks to be a subject not normally seen. Good on ya!

Impressive. Can you describe how you textured the turret? Also, I assume you made the fenders from brass strips, if so, what are the dimensions. Looks great!

Hi.
..on the fenders...the kit parts were very thin....now that is great and NOT a bad thing, unless like me you are ham fisted and break things...for mr the 'pain' of cleaning these parts and trying to protect them was too much...I thus cut off the kit track guards and have basicly coppied (with a couple of changes from photos on the surports) the kit ones....
The turret 'texture' is the first step of the CAST'a'COAT system (which I sell via the Small Shop EU in Europe, I admit this as an intrest...but as you all know use it on my Russian stuff a lot as I HATE Mr Surfacer et al)....I would ask others to 'sell' it to you if I may as I am just trying to present my model on the site....not my product...you can however get it in the USA via this link...

I have to say that as a first compleat resin model (not just add on's), this is quite a good one....I hate the dust and mess though...must convert the houshold vac cleaner...but her in doors is doing her toast as it is !!!
thanks and
