Parallel with the Jimmy I started a second project. It's an Yugoslav Sherman ( version M4A3E4 ) which is now on display in Muzej Vovodine, Novi Sad, Serbia. I wish to thank Mr. Ivan Kukurov who made it possible for me to make the walk-around which I will use during the build of this modell. I also wish to thank Mr Darko Mladenović who give me his model so I can build it, to Mr Nenad Blagojević who give me lot's of information's about Yugoslav Sherman's and to Mr. Zoran Sivčev who helped me to make the pictures and he also made a lot of pictures which I will use during the build. Than you once again !
This Sherman is also one of the Oddball's Sherman's in the Kelly's Heroes.....

Very interesting subject. Do you plan on weathering it in the same light or do you want to make it as it was when it was in its prime?

This is fantastic work- I love the progress with the A/C unit and the graffitti on the wall.

All this fine detail work puts my 1/16 "Oddball" Sherman to shame!
I'll be keeping an eye on this one!

HI Jeff !
As I said on the beginning this is one of Odball's shermans ! Kelly's heroes was filmed in Yugoslavia and they used Shermans from the JNA ( Jugoslovenska Narodna Armija - Yugoslavian People's Army )and this is one of them, don't know which one exactly, but one of them for sure !

i'm not sherman expert.. are those 2 different types of front mud guards or same with extensions?

You made it right, that's it. On the side you have two rows of holes for the side armour, only on the first section is one row :
And most probably you have to modify your Sherman, all the Yugoslav sherman's ( as so the ones used in the movie too ) are M4A3E4, if you look at the first picture I posted, you will notice the 76mm cannon, so what you need is the 76mm M1A1C barrel with muzzle protector ring and an early commanders hatch. If you need more info or pics just say, glad to help

There's only one row of holes... look again.
And there is a thread protector on the barrel, but I haven't shown that because I was focusing on the fender. So I believe you were guessing.
Last but not least, it was built using the 'movie' tank, so it does not have a split hatch.
Trust me, careful research was made. All I have left is to install the correct tracks. Did you notice that?

At first, I didn't attend to quess anything, I din't said that your work is bad, I just simply wanted to give you " first hand information " becouse I made about 200 or more photos of this sherman with all the modifications in detail....But if you don't want them it's fine by me........
All the photos of the sherman I build ( again, one of the Odball's Shermans )was taken by me personally, btw I'm from Serbia so.......
About the holes on the side you tell me how many row of holes is this :
This is the proper hatch for those Shermans :

The menagment of the museum where this Sherman is told me when I was there to ask the promission to take a detail photo walk around. As you can see on my diorama there is a gate which is locked so you can't go near the sherman but they was so kind to open the gate for me so I took the pictures

The problem is you're looking at one tank and I am looking at another.
So, only one row of "holes" and I am using the correct hatch.
So good luck on your build.
