are you using a decal solvent setting solution?
I like this stuff, but there are others.

Make certain you are applying them over a glossy surface. For positioning, a small puddle of water works well, then some careful dabbing with a Q tip. To get the decal to melt and conform to all the details, you need a setting solution. Walthers salvaset is my favorite. Apply a few coats if you have to? But allow it to dry completely in between

I used Testors, but it doesn't work well. I am going to try your brand and see what happens. Thanks for the quick response.

I was using a semi-gloss base but will switch to a gloss finish with a setting solution. Thanks for the good advice and quick response.

As Jonathan recommended ... the micro sol and set have worked perfectly for me for many years.

Bill, the nose of a A10 is a compound curve, making it somewhat difficult for decals to settle down and follow the various curves. In some instances, cutting the decal into smaller pieces may be a viable option if the nose art is rather large.

The decaling process that I've used for almost 40 years is to 1st have a glossy surface. Wet the area to be decaled with water and slide the decal into position. Dab the decal into position. I then use the Microscale system of Set then Sol. If the decal resists a few applications of Sol, then I'll try a stronger setting solution like Solvoset.
