A couple of photos of my T34-85. About a month off being finished. Fully RC, firing gun (8 mm blank) and mg's sound, recoil on main gun, digital proportional T34 diesel engine sound and proportional exhaust smoke.
Also has 3.2 mm radio colour and sound camera viewing through gunner's sight hole. Other features include working smoke canisters, turret traverse, elevating/depressing gun, mg muzzle flashes (fibre optic/strobe light) and plays Russian martial music.
Any comments/advice on painting/weathering this 120 lb beast greatly appreciated.

It went wrong!
To save more time getting it wrong I have posted to Jim and asked if he will kindly add them. I have read and re-read how to do it and it's still wrong.
Is someone up there trying to tell me something?

Do you have two photos of the tank in your gallery? If they are the photos of the tank you are talking about it is BIG and looks great. One question, what is the pul chain coming out of the side of the Turret for?

Thanks fo the kind comments.
Any advice on painting/weathering in view of the natural shadows the 'thing' has anyway? In particular what colour washes would you use over the base coat and would you pre-shade it and if so, with what colour. First real attempt at painting a 1:6 after the two 1:8 tanks and it's a lot, lot different. Advice appreciated.
It's around 20" wide and 50" long including the gun overhang.
The chain coming out of the turret side connects the pistol port plug to a ring on the inside of the turret so it can be closed/restopped from the inside of the tank after the shootings over!
Photos all thanks to Jim's skill and kindness. Thanks again Jim.

That is quite an ambitious project.
Good luck on it, you seem to be done splendidly.

This is truly impressive, I particularly like the 'multi-media' aspect to it, gonna be giving the neighbourhood cats some lively times...Jim

Thanks for the interest and comments.
I think the only 'outing' it may get is as an entry in the International Model Engineers' Exhibition in December. May not be finished though so next years if that's the case. Sadly too many people at the various other shows for my liking.
My problem, if it is a problem is I get my 'buzz' out of making them to class 1 scale. Running them is realy a poor second. It will probably follow my others, sold on to appreciative and discerning fellow modellers around the world!
Since the 1:8 scale T34-85 creating chaos the cats around here have had some training and are all now LAW equiped! The moles moved out months ago, something about weapons of mess destruction!
Regarding the mention of a supplier of scale 1:6 tanks. Please, no jokes, this is serious!
Best wishes and thank you again.

Actually the resizing of photos kills the over all effect of this great Model
Peter if you email me I have a way to show your large size photos at another place. (++) (:-)

Sorry to say but with all of the RC, electronics and other bits and pieces, you're about $2500 light.
