Hi All,
I've side stepped from the RMG campaign for a minute to work on something that was itching for some time now.
I slapped together a weld/cutter simulator. It's just a prototype and a small vignette which I have to finish a bit further.
Here is a short videoclip of the simulator.
Large (look out 6mb!)
Small (130kb, for modem users)
On the right hand you'll see glimpsof the electronics.
Tell me what you think so far, mind you it's only in test fase.
Kris

Very nice. That could probably be used in dioramas with myabe electrical lines down too. Or maybe even an electrical pannel sparking out.

Well I can't claim full credit for it. I've got the idea from some guy's website which had developed a simulator for model railroads. He had put up the schematics and sold a pcb for it (Printed Circuit Board), so you could make your own.
However, although the idea was good, the electronics were subject to modification.
So I set of to redesign it to suit my needs. This is the first prototype and I am already looking into a smaller, simpler version.
I'm not planning of commercialising it (I don't have the time or means for it). But if there is enough interest I perhaps design a pcb and let produce a small batch of them (the pcb's that is) and make them into a kit or something like that.
We'll see how things go.
