Good day all
I brought out a kit that I have been wanting to build for quite awhile, the 2S7 Pion. I am not going to do a builders blog as I am sure its been built before, what I will do is just post progress shots. For all who do not know of the Soviet wepoen it is a 203 mm Self propelled Howitzer, with a seven man crew. Speeds 50km/hr, engine V-46-1 575 kw, weight 46 tons, length 12.6m, width 3.5m and height 3.5 meter.
This is a Panzershop Kit in 1/35 scale and he is big !
So far the changes I have made are 2 sets of seector 35 T-80 tracks, 2 sets of SP designs T-80 road wheels and a engine robbed from another tank. I am not in a hurry so it is going to be a slow build. I hope you enjoy it
Last night the rains finely stoped in Southern Ca and here was my sunset
I pretty much ave the tracks done
and have started on the hull
here is a shot of the barell to give you an idea how big this gun is:
I have till July to finish and then I have to have surgury again that will lay me up for 6 months or so. I hope you enjoy
Jim

I'm looking forward to watching your build. I have this kit on the shelf and want to get it built someday.
