Well the plow is on the Trumpter , the turret face is fixed and the luggage rack is underway . As for the DML about the same ,the replacement rails shouldent look to bad once they are painted and some gear is added to cover up some of the gaps . The base is just getting started , it's a left over from another project that never went any where.

The gap left in the rear rack by changing the side rails on the DML tank

and after a bit of surgery

over view of the dio ( I know the tanks are a bit too close - they would be more spread out in a real world situation )

left front of the trumpter turret after making the correction

over view of the mineplow

front right view of the DML tank . A few sink marks to fill here and there . I'm going to try to scratch build the USMC style smoke launchers using evergreen plastic .

Looking good Toad! A couple of questions?

First, did you attach the wheels, tracks and side skirts in place or are they just plugged in for the pictures?

Second, what exactly does the correction on the Trumpeter turret entails? Could you come up with some kind of schematic to aid those of us who wish to make our Trump's kits accurate? I got three of their Abrams (M1A1, mineplow and mineroller) and I would really apreciate some help to make it accurate.

Cheers,

Howdy TT,

I'm on board with Bombshell, could you elaborate on exactly what needs changing, and precisely how you correct the inaccuracy? Your one-on-one expertise on the Abrams build-ups would be helpful to more than a few of us.

Many thx,

Tread.

Ok Tread I hope this helps . So here we go - on the left front slope of the turret on the trumpter M1A1 the face is about 4mm short at the corner to correct this I made a new face using evergreen plastic , as for the left side of the turret below the tow cable mount I just used a small strip to fix it .

the turret before

and the turret after
I'm not good at explainin' some things - so i hope this clears up some of the muddy water
