Hi guys, I'd like to ask for soviet armor guru's help. May I ask what is the use of the foul weather hood? Is that mounted over the driver's hatch of the t-55 or is that placed or used somewhere else? Thanks a lot for the help!

The T-55 drivers foul weather hood is fitted over the hatch for use in bad weather, when the driver positions himself so he can look out of the open hatch. I guess it was mainly used in training and parade scenarios.

Thanks a lot Rob! I was wondering if it was functioning more like a helmet cover on the drivers hatch if it was open and it was right hehe! cheers!
