Hi all, I've been reading this forum time and seeing the great work that you expose.
I have about some questions the T-64A Model 1975.
The first is on the exhaust. I've seen in some models in museums with this configuration:
Does this configuration is valid for this version?
Another question I want to confirm it on the barrel. Did they thermal sleeve?
Does the rear case of the tower is like the T-64B, with a cross emblazoned on the sides?
In principle these are the questions I want to address, but if anyone can give me advice to keep in mind will be very welcome.

The exhaust is OK for the T64A.
Yes they had thermal sleeves, it comes moulded on the kit barrels.
The `cross` on the bins is to strengthen the bin sides and bottom as they are only made of thin metal.

Hi Malcom,
Thank you very much for your answers. However, reviewing the model B of Trumpeter and the Concord book on the T-64 and T-80, I understand that the configuration of the picture I put here, it could be applied to vehicles manufactured in the 80s.
The Trumpeter model for B version that is in the market, has the same configuration of the exhausts that version A. And in the book of Concord, in tanks of the two variants that have the exhausts in this configuration, I see that the turret box is like that brings the Skif kit.
I think I will rely on these data and I'll let the exhausts as indicated by the instructions and I will use a box to the tower I have of Skif.
Anyway, if someone can correct me I will be very grateful.
Regards.
PD: sorry for my very bad English

The SKIF kit has a lot of problems due to lack of detail.
The Eduard PE set goes some way to address these but some extra parts will still be needed to make a decent model.
I have a few of the SKIF kits and for each one I bought a cheap Italeri/Dragon T72 kit, which again are not very accurate, and used parts from them to detail my T64`s.
I used the Lights and lightguards, all the marker lights, the hatches for the turret, the fuel drums and any other parts that had better detail than the poorly made SKIF ones.
Size wise, the SKIF kits are OK but the smaller detail parts are rubbish.

Hi Emilio;
Is the kit that your talking about Skiffs, or are you going too use Trumps,- T-64 ? if you havent got your kit already, i would suggest Trumps, T-64a or there second release.
As for the Barrel you will have the 115mm Gun, which you can get with & without the Thermo-sleeve.
GOOD LUCK; MIKE.
