This is the Hasegawa 1/24th scale Kubelwagen. I used this as practise for an upcoming half track build. I wanted to get a feel for building and painting an interior then painting an exterior.
Tamiya paint, classic dark yellow, red brown and field gray.
Weathered with oils and enamels.

nice one Wayne, a little clean for my tastes, but that's what opinions are for eh one thing i have noticed is your steering wheel looks plain and unfinished and there wwre some details you could have picked out on the dash . otherwise, great work!

You know I couldn't find any photos that agreed as to what the dash looks like. The instructions were different as well. Naturally all the color pics are of current rebuilds. It was the same with the engine. I wired it but it is basically aluminum and black.
I figure it was built in a factory where all the details were base color! (and kept clean):D

I used it as practice for an open top build. I have yet to model a half track and I have three different ones in the stash.
It was a fun build for sure.

I love clean builds but maybe a little black wash is needed but they certainly looked like this once in time... then they became used and got dirty.
