Lord Lee,

This is some pretty impressive stuff you got there. The weathering on the turret is real nice, and looked the part. I especially like the fading of the star on the turret, how you achieved this?

Great stuff! I love it!

And congratulations on a show winning piece, and of course, manie warm wishes.

Hi Twig:

Very, very impressive model. Love the effect obteined with your technique of diluted powders, they look like real dust and give a relistic look to the vehicle.
Did you applied oil washes first ? What brand is the kit ? Like it very much

Lee, she's coming along very nicely. I really like the overall color you did to the turret. Nice weathering. For me, about painting the turret seperate from the hull has me wondering how you are going to match both of them up. I do trust your skill.
Keep em coming.

Twig, in general I do not like models "heavyly weathered", but in this case I have to admit that your work is just stunning. Bravo and keep us posted with your progress!!!

I am really enjoying seeing the progress you are making on your model. You describe the weathering process better than anyone has ever done, IMHO.

I hope you put together an article so we can all use it for quick reference in the future

Lee,

Great job on the turret weathering. The pigment/pastel combination is very convincing..looks just like the dirt/dust/mud build-up we use to get on our Abrams during field exercises. I am looking forward to the completed model.

I think that you will soon be ready to try your hand on that Tiger of yours.
