OK, here is an update to keep any wolves at bay. I may putter around with a base this weekend but for now I am working some oils, AK goodness and pigs.
A quick shot of the top. Don't mind the couple grains of sand in the pic...apparently cleaning and taking pictures at the same time is not such a good idea! LOL!
I still have a pile of work, with and not related to this one so I will be going back and forth patiently over the weekend....hope to have some more soon on this!
Thanks for tuning in!!

I'm beginning to wonder if you've ever built a tank that wasn't burnt out and wrecked Amazing yet again.

Thanks Conor!! LOL....I think there are a couple that did not end up that way!!
Thank you very much Bob!! When I get done we should make a pick of this and yours (same kit) side by each. Show a great representation on what can be done with this old kit!!

Well, with a friendly reminder from AFVFan...a dope slap was more like it, This one is done!! Thanks Bob!!
I may appear that I missed showing some steps in here but I am working somethings up for an article soon...trying to save some of the "meat of the project" to go with the writing.
Here are some finals to finish it up!
Getting a chance to use any of the AK collection I have is always a good time! Thanks for stopping by during the project and for the support!! Hope to have a chance to have another "Duel" with Rob in the future!!

Todd, outstanding work! I have been wanting to try the salt and hairspray techniques. Seeing what you accomplished here confirms that I need to get off my duff and start practicing!

Thank you Thomas! The HS Tech. can be rewarding...messig at times but worth the effort. Have it it! Play around a little on an old model or styrene stock first. Single layers at first and then mess with more.
There is some of the tech. shown in here and I have more shown here in a feature: http://armorama.kitmaker.net//features/4526 I am sure you have things under control, but if there is a question fire away...there is enough of us around to always help!!

Next show I'm planning on right now is Sumter SC, I believe in late June. Unfortunately, that's in the wrong direction.
Going north, I normally don't look much past Richmond. I hate spending money on hotel rooms, so I plan most of my outings as "day" trips (unless it's something special). That limits the one way driving range to around 4 hrs. You being way up in NE just about guarantees our paths won't cross until maybe AMPS Fredericksburg, next year.
