Hi,
Her are some pictures of my latest build. It's the Hobby Boss VK.1602 Leopard with etch from Voyagers set for the Amusing Hobby kit. I've just got to finish the wheels and the SKP tracks and its completed.

Nice work Toby ! It looks like that baby has been out in the field a long time. A quick question, how did you like the kit ? I have it in my stash and am wondering if I should move it up in the build queue after looking at your fine work.
Thanks !
Tom

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the comments. I've finished the wheels tonight and its just the tracks to do tomorrow. I liked the kit. It was fairly simple. I did however add an RB Model barrel, some metal antennae and a few bits from the Voyager etch set. The build only took a short time. I put it in a box because I wanted some etch on it for the smoke candles etc..
Cheers

Glad those never saw production. You probably couldn't help, but hit it. That thing is a beast! And, your build looks very convincing. I would tone down the red, on the exhaust. Maybe add a little fresh rust pigment to it.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the comments. I toned it down a little after the photos were taken. Looking to post completed pictures Monday or Tuesday when I finish off the tracks.

Looking very good, Toby! Can't wait to see the final result. Is that a worn white wash or another camo/weathering thing?

Thanks for the comments. It's a combination. The base is Vallejo camouflage brown with AK Interactive chipping fluid. Over that went the green which was then chipped. I then tried hairspray over which went the whitewash. There were some issues with the HS so I will be trying a different make next time. It was a kit that had stalled so I wanted to try out some new techniques which I'm quite happy with and have learnt a lot from trying them.

Hi,
I'm calling this finished now. A late war reconnaissance tank that has seen a lot of action and weather.

Good job Toby. Really like the faded winter camo.
I think you should avoid all those orange/red brown colours. The green and faded white are cold colours and the browns ... especially on the exhaust and spare tracks are very warm colours and "clash" badly. I would suggest you change this to a darker brown and even add a little purple and/or blue to it to keep the cold feel.

Great build. I love the weathering. It is a front line fighter for sure
