Would any one be interested in a Railroad Campaign? All scales. All eras. Any rail type vehicle used in military service to include but not limited to armored rail cars, rail guns, locomotives, freight cars, passenger cars , hospital cars etc.. Dates would be some time in 2014.

NO NO! Go ahead! Railroad vehicles are far separate than Steel Wheels.
I missed the last RR Campaign so please count me in!

mmhhh
Every railroad build for Brent's proposal already fit Sal's Campaign...
The Steel Wheel Campaign have all the requirments of a Railroad Campaign .. it's redundant to have both Campaigns at the same time.
We have 29 Campaigns in progress, 12 recruiting ..
if there's huge demand for 2 Railroad Campaigns running with a similar timeframe, no problem.
Otherwise we can postpone this one to the end of Sal's.
Let me know what you guys think, I'm open to suggestions.

Well I believe just because Sal included railroad vehicles in his "Steel Wheels" shouldn't exclude a Railroad Campaign.
It was like when someone tried to talk me out of my JEEP Campaign just because there was a "Car Dealership Campaign" idea out.
There's a Big Cats Mk II Campaign and a King Campaign and both seem to be doing very well at the same time. The last Railroad Campaign did very well and didn't have Tigers or Panthers in it to make it successful, but what do I know.

I agree with John here.
There's no sense in having two campaigns that are so similar. If memory serves, Sal opened up his campaign because so few people finished the last railroad campaign. The Steel Wheels Campaign has already been approved and the guidelines approved.
In all honesty, if Brent's version had been proposed at the same time as Sal's...I'd probably lean towards a more railroad specific version. That said, I don't have any issues with the inclusion of tanks.

They are ALL the same in one way or another! Redundant, similar... whatever you call it.
Just because someone comes up with an idea doesn't mean it should get shot down right away. Let's see some support first... it may never happen! Sal's Campaign title is Steel Wheels and in his description he did include railroad vehicles.
Now Brent's is Railroad but he didn't include vehicles with steel wheels so I don't get the issue?
Let this run it's course and nay-Sayers keep quiet.

Hey Guys
The Steel Wheels campaign was mainly meant to be Part II of the Military Railroad Campaign that is why I said that projects started would be welcome as well
But since only 9 people finished I wanted to open it up to more options which is why and how I came up with Steel Wheels
There are currently only 18 People signed up for the Steel Wheels campaign. Yes the start is still a ways off and we will get some more people interested. Hopefully more than 9 which would be 50% will actually finish this time and I would love to see some of those projects that were started finished as well

That's my case in point. We shouldn't be "defending" our Campaigns by debating on a new one.
I had 53 JEEP Entrants and the Car Dealership (still running) has only 24. Gary (in his Infinite Wisdom) didn't intervene and the rest is history. The JEEP Campaign was a success, even though Sal tried to interfere like he is doing now.
But if we damn the Railroad Campaign without even giving it a try, it is wrong I tell you.

mmh..
I never meant to block or stop a proposal, if we have enough people that are interested, just propose the Campaign, no problem.
I see Jeff's point too, and Sal's..
I just hope there will be some finished builds on both Campaigns , if not, well there will always be some "Get Them Done part4" Campaigns

My intent is really meant for all to follow. I do believe these Campaigns need to be more specific, than "universal". If it's steel wheels, then steel wheels only. If it's railroad, then it's railroad only.
It's probably already too late now for this Campaign as a little controversy really keeps members from signing up.
Come on guys and show your support! I'm in!

I have enlisted in the Steel Wheels Campaign. I would suggest this as the campaign ribbon.

Guys, since Steel Wheels is all ready in progress I would suggest that for this time you join in with them. Lets park this idea for the time being. I didn't realize that an ongoing proposal to include railroads was all ready in the works until Sal posted on this string. Steel Wheels certainly includes railroads. I plan on building some railroad models (working) for the Steel Wheels Campaign.

Thanks, I now see where you guys are heading. Subject matter wise I think these warrant two different campaigns.
