Hi,
Here are some in progress pictures of my Russian light tank T-60.
The kit is from RPM, which is a nice and easy to build model , and it comes with a very nice PE-set. I only added some details, and off course Friultracks, which look very good on this model.
It will be placed on a simple groundwork, with a Hornet-figure.

Please let me hear your thoughts about this model, remarks and tips are welcome, as always…

Greetings,
Hugo

Hey Hugo,

This kit is looking really good so far. You are right about the tracks. They add a degree of realism to this model. I am curious about your subject...why did you call this a coffin for two brothers?

Hi Marty,

This soon became the nickname for the T-60, because of it's very thin armour...

Why is there one solid wheel on the left side? Was it a field fix? and What the rectangular thin sheet over the engine grate?

Hi,

The kit does include the PE-set, and it's of a good quality.

The T-60 were also seen with solid wheels. I've choosen for the spoked wheels because this little tank looks so fragile, and I've replaced one road wheel with a solid wheel, as a kind of in field repair. The kit includes both the spoked and solid wheels...
The thin plates were used to cover the engine grate. I just use the two small sheets and did not place the third (big) one.

Thanks for your replies,
Hugo

Very nice. I've built the kit as well, but mine didn't come with the photoetch. I think mine was actually released as a Mirage kit though.

WOW! Nice build!

Humm... with all that metal on there, it looks like a piece of Jewelry, but all that certainly spiffs up a some what of a tough kit.

Lookin' forward to seeing that in its war paint!

Nice subject and clean build! Having the fender made out of PE did you consider adding a bit of "damage" to them?

That's great ! I realy like what you did !
What kind of tracks came with the kit ? Link by link, or link and length ? How did they look ?
Seeing your nice model, I just feel like picking the kit in a shop soon !

Thanks for your comments.

Here are a few answers.
Mark, it's possible. The T-60 has been released by companies like Marquette, Zvesda, Aeroplast and Techmod. I think the RPM kit is basically one of these ones, but with the additional PE-set.
Fabio, I haven't added much damage to the fenders, just some minor to the backside of the right fender and the lids of both the stowage boxes on the fenders.
Penpen, the kit comes with link and length tracks, but the quality isn't that good (maybe usefull for a muddy setting). Replacing the tracks by Friuls will boost this little tankie...
Jeff, the Kit includes the PE-set.

I'm gladd that, like me, you like this little tank. Just go to your local shop and pick up this kit if you also like these vehicles. It's neat, cheap and will give you fun building it :-)
RPM isn't that bad at all, my previous model I've built was the French Renault FT-17 Char canon, from The Great War. Here are some pictures of it. This one was built with Aber PE and Friuls. Don't be afreaid of the mintie colour

Greetings and thanks again for your comments,
Hugo AKA Beaker
