Has anybody tried Tamiya's paper Zimmerit? In particular their Tiger Zimm ? If so, how did you apply it and does it take paint and weathering well ? Do you think it would work on Dragon's Tigers?
Thanks in advance and have a good weekend all !

I don't know anything about how it weathers and paints. But, I do know that there is a 1mm discrepancy between Dragon and Tamiya kits. The Tamiya kit is the larger of the two.

Thanks Matt, Better too big than too small. You can't beat the price either.

You need to keep in mind that while a larger piece can be cut down, there may be other places, such as cut outs for brackets and such, that may not line up.

I feel that using the Tamiya Zimm take the fun out of making Zimmerit

if so I would relocate what ever bit to that cut out.
Red Flag, thank you for your opinion.
I still want to find out about people's experiences with this product.

I'd be curious, too. I've not had the pleasure of using it.

Is this really paper, with 3-D texture...or, are you talking about the paper-thin resin sheets which I have seen?

No, I haven't used them. I've seen them in my LHS and to be honest, wasn't very impressed by them. The ridges look to be too thick and not raised enough.
