Hi,
I thought let me post some pictures of this model which I built last summer.
It's the RPM kit of this French tank from WWI. Don't get confused about the mint colour, it's a really nice kit, but I decided to detail it using the 2 Aber sets. In fact I bought 3 sets, including the PE-set for the tracks. But that was madness, so I switched over to Friuls, and using both Aber PE-sets for the exterior (and a part of the interior). The model was completely handpainted with Vallejo, weathering was done with pigments. The bucket comes from Plus Model.
I only need a nice figure to complete this one.
I hope you like it. Remarks, tips, everything is welcome, as usual...
Greetings,
Hugo "Beaker" Luyten

I like it a lot, looking at the unpainted model, it's hard to tell where the original model is with the quantity of brass . Fantastic to see something 'out of the loop' as well...Jim

Excellent work here ! Fantastic paint job, and very convincing weathering. Looks like it its about to roll into the Meuse-Argonne Offensive !! Outstanding.
Mr Roo: that frame on the back is the "tail skid". I was used to help the FT-17 tank cross wider trenches, and to assist it in the event it got "ditched".
Cheers !

that's an award winner IMHO.
I remember a FSM article about that kit and I have to say - you made yours better than they did.
The ONLY thing I can see that I would comment on is to add a nice brass name plate to the base as the 'finishing touch'.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your comments.
It's not like the usual stuff, but I'm glad you like it.
And Slodder, you're right, I'll look for a nice name plate.
Greetings, Hugo (:-)

That's one neat little tank. I have a soft spot for these proto-tanks, kind of like the original Mini Cooper was the grand-daddy of every front wheel drive econobox, these guys had the style that would define tanks forever more. Great paint job, excellent weathering, nice corroded color on the bucket, that's a great touch. The only quibble is that the coiled rope and the rope holding the crate to the skid look too clean. But I guess they could have been just added.

Hi guys,
The tracks are very nice, are easy to clean very easy to assemble. I also added the casting numbers to the tracks, they came with the Aber set. I was planning to use the tracks from Aber, but since each link consists of about 10 pieces, it was really madness... That's why I've switched to the Friuls, and that was fun.
I also am thinking about the ropes, they are too clean. I think I'll give them some pigments to alter them, and that's also for the bucket. It's too clean.
Thanks again for your comment, I really appreciate that
Greetings,
Hugo
