Guys, Does anyone do markings for our tanks used in WWII? Looking at Sherman 5's specically in Italy. I know there are some generic unit stuff, but was thinking tanks with names, like ASP, CAT, ADJUNCT, CARTIER, COBOURG, you get the picture.

TIA

If you're able to arrange the generic unit markings, Archer has these dry transfers for making your own vehicle names.

It might seem intimidating to line all the letters up in a straight line, but it's not that bad. Archer has great service to Canada and their customer service is top shelf.

Check out model railroad stores. They usually have letters and numbers in different sizes and fonts that might be usable.

Cheers

I just ordered a set for a Canadian Achilles that I am working on. It has the M10s and M3s I think in it. I got it from Freightdog Models and the set is created by Whiskey Jack Decals.

Don't know if they do other Canadian stuff too though.

When trying to get a number of individual dry transfer letters/symbols to line up properly, what I do is get some clear Microscale decal sheet and apply the dry transfers to the clear decal. That way I can make mistakes and remove the dry transfers if need be without putzing around on my finished model. When the are all aligned, I just apply the clear decal like any other marking. You lose the major advantage of the dry transfer, no decal film, but gain the ability to use the generic lettering and have the vehicle distintively marked.
